2007 COPPIN ST. COLLEGE EAGLES BASEBALL (0-44 final
record, 0-18 conference)
After six years, the
Collegiate Parade of Crap finally introduces its first NCAA
Division I team. Long-time college basketball fans won't be
surprised they're from the MEAC
(behold MEACKIE,
their conference mascot).
In the last 5 years, MEAC basketball teams combined for a 202-575
non-conference record. Their baseball teams did slightly better
this year at least, winning 28.6% of non-conference games. That
percentage could have been much better, but it includes the miracle winless season by
the Coppin
State Eagles.

The New York Times ran
an article about Coppin St. after the 2nd Lehigh game. The Eagles
were ahead 4-3 when the umpires called the game in the 5th inning. The
coach resigned before the season, and all but three players transferred.
It explains a lot about the 2007 season.
